2014; 7: 374-382 Sequencing at 11p11.2-NR1H3 identified rare variation associated with FI. One variant, chr11:47227430, seems to be functional, with the rare A allele reducing transcription factor FOXA1 binding and FOXA1-dependent transcriptional activity.加齢と心不全の研究に集められた3566名の遺伝子についてゲノムワイド研究で空腹時インスリンと空腹時血糖に関係すると知られてる5個の遺伝子座（MADD, ACP2, NR1H3, MYBPC3, and SPI1）についてシークエンスした。653個の新たな多形が見つかった。NR1H3のイントロンにある多形は転写因子のFOXA1の結合部位にあたりHepG2細胞の実験では機能的な意味がありそうだという。
しかしかなりまれな多形らしいので実際どれくらいの重要性があるのか微妙。
